Stepping out of my house, and moving to a new place to pursue my dreams, and exploring life in a new way, was the most fearful thing for me. Not because I was afraid to follow my dreams or didn’t want to explore life but I knew there would be some phases in life where I will have to face hardships, and struggles on my own. Sometimes, I wonder that there’s so much we can do with the kind of potential we have. Won’t it be wonderful to note down all our good qualities and keep reminding our self of how wonderful we are?
We try all sorts of activities. Some people go out with friends. Some people travel to explore different cultures. Some people dance, laugh, sing. Some read, write, and learn. Some people take up a new job, or a new hobby. Some people play with kids in order to enjoy simple miracles of life, and reminisce the childhood memories.
I have always believed in creating moments/memories in life that I can look back and remember, they may not be something personal. They may not be those places I’ve been to or the hugs and surprises that I get, but to remember those memories that I can pen down anytime with all the love, and those photographs that I can capture it in my memory forever. This year I made a very unusual New Year’s resolution. I promised myself to ‘BE HAPPY’ even when I face any tough situation or problems in life. I observe a lot different people every day and they teach me things that help me lead a life of less worry and more happiness but kids have been my best teachers. They teach me to be happy, live in the moment, dance like crazy, and if you want something, make your way out to get it. From my 3 years of experience working with kids, nothing makes me happy than being around them.
Writing has made me seen the world differently as noting down everyday happenings in my book helps me to connect with the most creative side of mine because I feel that in this hustle bustle of life, we forget the importance of appreciating and noticing small miracles of life.
So, here are my life’s little instructions:
Rearrange your wardrobe. Donate your old clothes to needy people. Go to clubs and dance like crazy. Send a handwritten postcard to a friend. Meditate. Light a candle. Do a face mask. Write a note to self.
